Mr Merlin. 

Hi‘ I’m Mr Merlin and I’ve been a children’s entertainer & magician for more than 20 years. I perform for birthday parties, weddings, Christenings and in fact any occasion which requires the children to be entertained, (and the adults for that matter)!

My static magic show lasts for approximately 1 hour where the birthday boy/girl gets up to  help Mr Merlin (if he or she is that way inclined of course), for which they receive a special birthday certificate. I get another 2 or 3 children up to help with other tricks throughout the course of the show for which they receive little token gifts. My show is designed for 3 to 8 year olds (although everyone enjoys it – even the adults!) It is very audience participant where I get the children laughing, shouting out & generally joining in, especially when we're trying to find Peewee the naughty toy bunny rabbit. At the end of the magic show, I get the birthday child up again to magic Peewee the toy bunny with a surprising twist. I finish the show by doing balloon models for all the children. (depending on numbers of course). I have a 5 to10 minute comedy routine where we have a laugh at the way I make the balloons. I make around 4 or 5 balloons there and then with a special one for the birthday child, but then I bring out the rest of the balloons already prepared so that all the children get a balloon to take home. The show is packed full of fast paced fun. The kids love it!!!

My 2 hour party package consists of the magic show exactly as described above, but in addition I have a mini disco with music & lights. I do party games with the children after the magic show e.g musical statues, pass the parcel etc for which I supply all the little prizes & give-aways. All you have to do is feed the children (which is usually between the magic show & the party games)

If timings don’t allow for my 2 hour package, then I am able to condense it into 1 & ½ hours where you would feed the children before or after me.

I have public liability insurance through EQUITY for £10,000,000, DBS certificate and Health & Safety risk assessments.

Through the week, I entertain children in various hospitals for a charity called POD. I’ve been visiting hospitals on a monthly basis for nearly 20 years. To be able to put a smile on these children’s faces is extremely rewarding. For more information about POD, please click on the picture below.
